Jakarta, 18 July 2018 — PT Barito Pacific Tbk (BRPT) distributed cash dividends from net profit for the 2017 financial year, worth USD 30 million or Rp 432 billion. The dividend amount reached 25% of the 2017 net profit attributable to the industrial owner of USD 118 million. The distribution of the company's profits to shareholders has been agreed through the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (AGM) in June 2018.

President Director of PT Barito Pacific Tbk Agus Salim Pangestu said, the profit allowance was a form of Barito's commitment, especially to public investors, who had given management confidence in developing the company's business.

"We are committed to making BRPT in the future an issuer that focuses on the energy sector, as well as an issuer that is concerned with shareholders, especially the public. For this reason, for the first time in the last 20 years, this time we are distributing dividends to shareholders. We believe that the acquisition of Star Energi will also increase profitability and provide a more stable cash flow which in turn will provide the basis for dividend distribution in the future,” said Agus Salim Pangestu.

For 20 years, BRPT's management has focused on developing the business structure of a number of subsidiaries and expanding their business. Thus, during that period, BRPT withheld dividends for the benefit of business expansion and the company's business expansion.

This dividend distribution is carried out including for new shares that have been issued through the previous rights issue. Through this corporate action, the company issued 3.83 billion new shares. Thus, the issuer with the stock code BRPT will provide a cash dividend of Rp 24,43/stock.

Shareholders who are entitled to receive dividends are those registered with the Indonesian Central Securities Depository (KSEI), with cum dividends in the regular market and negotiations on 26 June 2018. Meanwhile, cum dividends in the cash market on 29 June 2018.

As is known, throughout 2017, Barito Pacific posted an increase in net revenue of 25% to US$2.45 billion, higher than the previous year of US$1.96 billion. Thus, the company was able to pocket a net profit of US$279.9 million. Meanwhile, the total assets owned by the company increased by 42 percent to US$3.64 billion, from US$2.57 billion in the previous year.

In June 2018, the company successfully completed the acquisition of a 66.67% stake in Star Energy, the largest geothermal power producer in Indonesia. The acquisition of Star Energy is an important step and is in line with the company's mission to strengthen its foothold in the renewable energy sector, and make the company a market leader and a leading company in the energy sector in Indonesia.

"After completing the acquisition, we hope to make Barito a company in the integrated energy sector with optimal operational capabilities, diversified revenue sources and to strengthen and diversify its growth opportunities," concluded Agus Salim Pangestu.
